This video has blessed me so much. YHVH is a God of order and this proves it!

The Birthday Party in Scripture:

Every male must appear in the presence of the LORD your God three times a year at the place where he will choose: for the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Passover), the Feast of Seven Weeks (Pentecost), and the Feast of Tents (Tabernacles/Sukkot)… (Deuteronomy 16:16)

Why gather on these days?  Because Abba wanted everyone to see when His Son was born, when he died, and when the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost.

Our God is a God of order!

Over 2 million Jews would be in Jerusalem at these times.

In the days of King Herod of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly order of Abijah. His wife was a descendant of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. Both of them were righteous before God, having lived blamelessly according to all of the commandments and regulations of the Lord. They had no children because Elizabeth was barren and because both of them were getting old. When Zechariah was serving with his division of priests in God’s presence, he was chosen by lot to go into the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense, according to the custom of the priests. (Luke 1:5-9)

The first lottery was chosen in favor of Jehoiarib, the second for Jedaiah, third for Harim, the fourth for Seorim, the fifth for Malchijah, the sixth for Mijamin, the seventh for Hakkoz, the eighth for Abijah… (1 Chronicles 24:7-10)

  • David divided the priesthood into different courses.
  • They would each minister 2 weeks out of the year.
  • During the festivals, when everyone was there, all the priests would minister together.
  • Passover is in the first month of God’s calendar. (roughly our April)
During the 8th course was the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost)
Scripture says:

And the entire congregation of people was praying outside at the time when the incense was burned. An angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the incense altar.” (Luke 1:10-11)

By the end of June:

When the days of his service were over, he went home. After this, his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and remained in seclusion for five months. (Luke 1:23-24)

  • 5 months brings us to the end of November.
  • It is in the 6th month (December) that the angel appears to Mary.
  • If Mary conceives at the end of December… Babies take 9 months…

This brings Mary to full term at the end of September first of October.  The birth of Messiah!

This is exactly when the Feast of Tabernacles falls.  It was a party!

Modern day Feast of Tabernacles:

Party plans:

Rejoice in your festival–you, your son, your daughter, your male and female slaves, the descendants of Levi, foreigners, orphans, and widows who live in your cities. For seven days you are to celebrate in the presence of the LORD your God at the place where the LORD will choose; for the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in everything you do, and your joy will be complete(Deuteronomy 16:14-15)

Every male must go for the feast!  Why would Mary be in Jerusalem?  Because of the feast.  Why wasn’t there any room?  Because of the feast!  Where was Yeshua born… In a sukkah! A tent set up during the Feast of Tabernacles.

God commands us to rejoice! Everyone!

Psalms 113 – 118 were always sung during these 3 feasts.  Psalm 118 especially.

The LORD is my strength and protector, for he has become my deliverer.  There’s exultation for deliverance in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD is victorious! The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD is victorious!” (Psalms 118:14-16)

I will praise you because you have answered me and have become my deliverer. (Psalms 118:21)

deliverer is translated salvation … YESHUA (real name of Jesus)  means SALVATION!  Put his name in the Psalm!

The LORD is my strength and protector, for he has become my Yeshua.  There’s exultation for Yeshua is in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD is victorious! The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD is victorious!” (Psalms 118:14-16)

I will praise you because you have answered me and have become my Yeshua. (Psalms 118:21)

What about those shepherds?

In that region there were shepherds living in the fields, watching their flock during the night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. Then the angel told them, ‘Stop being afraid! Listen! I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people. Today your Savior, the Lord Messiah, was born in the city of David.’ (Luke 2:8-11)

Suddenly a multitude of the Heavenly Army appeared with the angel, praising God by saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to people who enjoy his favor!
(Luke 2:13-14)

Jerusalem in December:

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Dwelt:
G4637
σκηνόω
skēnoō
skay-no’-o
From G4636; to tent or encamp, that is, (figuratively) to occupy (as a mansion) or (specifically) to reside (as God did in the Tabernacle of old, a symbol fo protection and communion): – dwell.

Another interesting note:

And it came to pass, while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:6-7)

What the heck are swaddling clothes?

There were 4 large lampstands in the temple:

Worn out priestly garments were used as wicks in the lampstands

Swaddling Clothes:G4683
σπαργανόω
sparganoō
spar-gan-o’-o
From σπάργανον sparganon (a strip; from a derivative of the base of G4682 meaning to strap or wrap with strips); to swathe (an infant after the Oriental custom): – wrap in strips.

Yeshua was literally wrapped in priestly garments.  (His relatives were priests!)

And when eight days were fulfilled for circumcising him, his name was called YESHUA, which was so called by the angel before he was conceived in the womb. (Luke 2:21)

Eight days and Yeshua is in the Temple shedding His blood, confirming the covenant to Abraham!

Feasts for the Jews?

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yahweh, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. (Leviticus 23:1-2)

These feasts are YOURS to keep!

Feast
H4150
מועדה מעד מועד
mô‛êd mô‛êd mô‛âdâh
mo-ade’, mo-ade’, mo-aw-daw’
From H3259; properly an appointment, that is, a fixed time or season; specifically a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly(as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand): – appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn (-ity), synagogue, (set) time (appointed).
Law of the LORD?

And when the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord), and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
(Luke 2:22-24)

And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before Yahweh, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female. And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtle doves, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean. (Leviticus 12:6-8)

Joseph and Mary bring only the doves.  Why?  Because the Magi have not yet shown up.  It takes a while to travel!  Yeshua is poor.  They do not have a lamb… or do they?

Mary had the Lamb of God!
